No Waste Series: One-of-a-Kind Sneakers Made from Leftover Materials
The No Waste Series by HUB Footwear is a limited collection of one-of-a-kind sneakers created from leftover materials and unused stock from previous collections. Every pair is individually crafted using materials that would otherwise remain unused, giving existing resources a second life.
Because each sneaker is made from a unique combination of materials, colours and components, no two pairs are ever the same. Every design is produced only once and cannot be replicated.
The result is a collection of unique sneakers that combines creativity, craftsmanship and thoughtful design, while transforming materials from past seasons into something entirely new.
Why Every No Waste Sneaker Is One of a Kind
Every pair in the HUB Footwear No Waste Series is created only once. To make every pair even more special, each sneaker comes with a handwritten note explaining the origin of the materials used. The tag tells the story behind the sneaker, showing where specific materials originally came from and how they were reimagined within the No Waste Series.
The result is a collection of limited edition sneakers where every pair has its own identity, history and character. Once a design is sold out, it is gone for good and will never be restocked.
Giving Existing Materials a Second Life
One of the defining features of the No Waste Series is the way existing materials are given a completely new purpose.
For example, a material originally developed for the SS26 Vancouver in Wax Yellow now appears on the upper, giving it a far more visible role within the design. The same goes for our beige diamond mesh, which was originally used as a lining material before being transformed into a visible design feature on the outside of the sneaker.
By rethinking how materials can be used, the No Waste Series turns elements from past collections into something entirely new.
From Waste to Life
Every sneaker starts with cutting individual leather panels from larger hides. Because these shapes never fit perfectly together, leftover pieces are inevitable. In the No Waste Series, we give these materials a second life by turning them into one-of-a-kind sneakers instead of letting them go to waste.
