This is The ACE Hub
HUB is founded in 2004 by former tennis pro Huub van Boeckel and was born from the mindset of the tenniscourt. It started with one simple idea: to bring the comfort of a tennis outsole from the court to the street and design contemporary uppers for it. The result was a completely new look on the street: thin white tennis outsoles with high-quality leather uppers, mainly in brown tones, with a strong emphasis on comfort thanks to features such as the removable ‘air cushioned’ HUB insole.
With the ACE hub, HUB is going back to its roots: the tennis court. These premium sneakers are inspired by tennis shoes from the 70s and 80s, the period when tennis reached its peak and when the founder grew up and played professionally himself. Tennis has always been a common thread in his life. His passion for the game and the culture of tennis from that era forms the basis for the style and story behind the ACE hub today.
