07/19/11/ theatre festival 'de Parade'/

Summer time in Holland is celebrated at all the music festivals our country is famous for. Amongst these is 'de Parade', which is not your typical festival. Instead of beats and extravagancy it is focused on theatre, and can best be described with the Dutch word 'gezelligheid'. A cosy evening of hanging out with friends in the sun on a picnic table while seeing theatre shows throughout the rest of the evening.

In collaboration with 'de Parade', Hub Footwear has invited artists in every city to create artworks on the very same picnic tables used to hang out with your friends. Each artist uses the iconic Z-stitch to illustrate how they are connected to their city, thus creating a unique view on their city and HUB. 'De Parade' lasts for a total of 44 days and started in Rotterdam. The festival then travels through Den Haag and Utrecht to it's final destination, Amsterdam. As a place where people meet and activities flow it can be called one of the biggest pop-up HUB's in the Netherlands.

This week 'de Parade' is located in Utrecht, and in august it will be in Amsterdam for three weeks. Join us in celebrating good times and summer vibes in a unique experience of arts.
